Cherry Lane Equine
Meet our People
Janine
is the co-owner and operator of Cherry Lane Equine.  Looking for a way to combine her love of horses with her love of coaching, Janine started Cherry Lane Equine in 1992.... first teaching at another stable, then leasing property and finally purchasing a farm of her own.   Janine enjoys encouraging her students to experience all aspects of horsemanship, both in the natural and classical forms, in and out of the show ring, from ground work to drill tream, dressage to hunter/jumpers.  And Janine particularly enjoys introducing beginners of all ages to the amazing world of horses.

Kelsey
is Janine & Doug's daughter and Girl Friday.  Kelsey gets called on for whatever needs doing..... whether it's mucking the paddocks, catchriding a horse, doctoring an injury, mentoring young riders or organizing the riders for a show day.  Her love of animals & innate kindness shows in the trust the animals have in her and her ability to draw out the best of whatever horse she's working with.

Doug
is Janine's husband and the the hands behind the incredible transformation the acreage underwent after we purchased it in 2008.  Literally a phoenix from the ashes, Doug engineered the building of the riding ring, paddocks, shelters, grass pasture and barn renovations.  It couldn't have been done without his endless hours of digging, hammering and hauling.  And since farms seem to be a perpetual work in progress Doug still spends many of  his evenings fixing this and adding that......

Kelby
is Janine & Doug's youngest son, chief bale thrower, tractor driver and last minute camp staff....  affectionately known as "Princess" to the summer camp kids.  Kelby is always willing to lend a hand, open a door or hold an electric fence wire.  And we can't forget to mention his "unique" riding style and non-stop good humor.

The Cherry Lane Volunteers

We are very proud to include a great group of dedicated volunteers who work around the farm, doing chores, taking care of horses and making the barn a great place to be.  Their spirit is infectious, their sense of fun is unending and they are the best examples of caring, friendly people.

Our thanks to all of them for their hard work......
