Cherry Lane Equine
Meet our Lesson Horses
Bear Claw
is hands down our best beginner pony.  She is an Appaloosa Arab cross mare, born around 1996, standing 13.2 hands.  Her gentle disposition and easy to ride gaits make her everyone's favorite, in the ring or on the trail.  And don't forget to ask us how she got her name!
Teddy Bear
is our 13.2 h Welsh Quarter pony (born 2001).  He does some of our beginner lessons, but really shines over the fences, with a great "point and shoot" attitude.   His "hug me" face and great ground manners also make him easy to handle both in the ring and on the trail.
Logan
is a 15.3hh 2010 palomino quarter horse that came from an Alberta auction in 2020.   He loves people, but has had some physical and mental trauma that he is slowly working through.  We are hoping he will be ready to start school string in the near future.
Mick
Mick takes on our beginner riders, but can dial it up for the more advanced riders as well.  Born in 1998, this 14h Quarter horse gelding has been there, done it all, with most of his training in reining and penning.  Mick loves to show off his tempi changes, go showing and get out on the trails with his friends.
April
is also one of our beginner / intermediater horses.  Born in 2002, she is a 14h paint mare who excels at babysitting those just starting out, or can get the job done over fences and loves the gymkhana games.  Super on the trail or in the ring.

Mia
is a 2015 wildie filly and came with her mom from 2016 cull on the Oliver First Nations Reserve.  She is full of personality, curiosity and sass and is currently learning to be a saddle horse, mind her manners and play nice with humans!
Rosie and Joseph
are a set of matching minis. They were adopted by Doug from Pip Squeak Paddocks. Both have a very friendly personality and are being trained to drive cart as well as handle public relations.
