Cherry Lane Equine
           Our Facilities
Paddocks & Shelters
We have large post and rail paddocks with roomy four sided in & out shelters, with lighting, and a mix of gravel and hog fuel footing.  Our paddocks are also serviced with underground water and electricity.  Four open air hog fuel day paddocks are available for short stay or trailering in use.   And we are currently working on construction of four more sheltered runs to help meet our growing boarder demand.
Riding Ring & Round Pen
Our riding ring is a 100' x 130' all-season sand ring, with lights, suitable for both dressage and jumping.  Our sub-base is also slideable for those interested in reining.  A large viewing deck and heated indoor viewing lounge overlook the entire ring.  As well, we have a lit 50' hogfuel round pen, excellent for training, lunging or round pen lessons.
Our Original Barn
was a two storey building constructed in 1995 by the prevous owners.  It was destroyed in an electrical fire on October 26, 2010.  Despite it being one of the most devastating things we have ever experienced, we were fortunate that none of the horses were lost, and passers-by were able to get the kittens out in time.   Words cannot express the gratitude we feel for all the family, friends, neighbors, acquaintances and even strangers who helped in so many ways..... both the night of the fire and for months afterward while we cleaned up and faced a winter without a barn.   They truly gave us the strength we needed to face each day and to rebuild what is now our "dream barn".
Seasonal Pasture (a.k.a. Horse Playground) & Trails
Our seeded pasture is available for turnout during the summer months, whether for a day of grazing or cooling out after a lesson.  It's also a favorite place for the kids to play games, or hang out with their equine friends.

The Galloping Goose Trail runs directly behind the farm, providing miles and miles of leisurely riding..... or for the more adventurous, you can head up Harbourview into the Sooke Hills, explore the Sooke Pot Holes farther on, or trek over to East Sooke and Metchosin for a few hours.
